Position Overview:

The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a commercial construction project and ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget. This position requires a combination of strong construction knowledge, leadership, and organizational skills to manage multiple contractors, subcontractors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage a detailed project schedule to ensure that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
Monitor and adjust schedules as needed to ensure completion of projects according to deadlines
Lead and direct the work of contractors, subcontractors, and other staff
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures
Oversee the quality of work being performed to ensure it meets the highest standards
Maintain accurate records of project progress and costs
Manage budgets and other financial aspects of the project
Communicate with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the project
Assess project risks and take steps to mitigate them

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field
5+ years of experience in commercial construction, with an emphasis on Multi-Family construction
Prior experience as a Commercial Superintendent
Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Solid understanding of project management principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of relevant laws, codes, and regulations
Computer literacy with a strong knowledge of MS Office
