Crew Chief

Position Overview
The Crew Chief is responsible for overseeing field survey operations and ensuring accurate data collection. This role involves managing a team of survey technicians to achieve project goals while maintaining quality control and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage survey crews in the field to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
Coordinate with project managers and clients to understand survey requirements and deliverables.
Review and verify field data to ensure accuracy and completeness of survey records.
Provide training and support to team members in surveying techniques and equipment usage.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including field notes and data logs.
Conduct quality control checks on topographic reports and other survey outputs.

Qualifications

5+ years of proven experience as a Land Surveyor with a strong background in field survey techniques.
Excellent knowledge of surveying equipment and software.
Ability to interpret and create topographic reports and staking plans.
Familiarity with GPS technology and data logging systems.
Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
