Lateral Partner - Bankruptcy/Creditor's Rights

Position Overview
One of the most prestigious firms in the country is seeking a highly experienced Lateral Partner specializing in Bankruptcy and Creditor's Rights to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of bankruptcy laws, creditor rights, and related legal practices, with a strong commitment to providing innovative solutions for our clients. This role offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise and leadership skills to enhance our practice and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage bankruptcy and creditor's rights cases, providing expert legal advice to clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective debt recovery and creditor representation.
  • Guide clients through complex bankruptcy proceedings and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Engage in litigation as necessary to protect client interests in bankruptcy matters.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations to provide informed counsel.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in bankruptcy and creditor's rights law.
  • Proven track record of successful case management and client representation.
  • Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
  • Experience in corporate restructuring and commercial loan workouts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with UCC filings and litigation processes.
